Gooimeer & Veluwemeer

Gooimeer & Veluwemeer are another pair of fresh-water spots. They’re especially easy to reach from northern German cities so are popular daytrip destinations. Since the wind loses some of its strength blowing across the mainland, conditions here are a bit tamer than the Ijsselmeer; ideal for kite and windsurf beginners during spring or autumn storms.
