Pomerania

The roughly 500km long east coast of Poland comprises vast stretches of fine, sandy dunes with wide beaches; from time to time, high cliff-tops interrupt the dune scenery, like at the Kashubian coast beside Jastrzebia Gora (“Hawk’s Mountain”) or in the west near Rewal. The best wave spots are in Pomerania , between Karwia and Rowy where westerly winds meet a Baltic Sea fetch of at least 100km, producing logo to mast-high waves when it’s blowing hard. The scenery in and around the ‘Slowinski National Park’ is also impressive, with gigantic drifting sand-dunes.
